Ioana Singeorzan (ROU) beat Lea Lachenmayer (GER) 3-1 in the last singles of the U19 girls teams final Germany - Romania. Thus Romania won the whole match 3-2 and became the champion.
An interesting match because a strong offensive player played against a strong defensive player.
Germany was already leading 2-0 but then Romania won three singles in a row. This last singles was a huge fight where Lachenmayer was leading the first set 11-10 and the last set 10-8. Singeorzan and the whole Romanian team was celebrating but unfortunately Lachenmayer's racket was sent into orbit around the earth. 😢
