Ingredients
1 cup semolina/rava
3/4 cup plain yoghurt
3 chopped green chillies
half cup fresh chopped coriander
one small chopped onion
1 tsp ginger paste
Salt to taste
half tsp bicarb of soda
1 tsp cumin/jeera
half tsp turmeric
Oil for deep frying
Method
Mix semolina and yoghurt. Add chillies, onions, coriander and ginger. Add salt, turmeric, cumin and bicarb. Mix well. Leave to rest for 20 minutes.
Heat deep oil. Oil palms and make small lemon sized balls. Press flat and with finger make a hole in the middle. Fry until golden brown. Serve hot with tamarind chutney.
