A traditional Abruzzo song (19°sec) covered by Domenico Modugno as "Amara Terra Mia", one of the most beautiful tunes from Italy linked to transhumance and emigration.
Born as a work song for the olive pickers of Maiella, the tune is also known as “Addije, addije amore”, and “Casca l'oliva” title given by Giovanna Marini for the famous exhibition\scandal "Bella ciao" (Festival dei due mondi, Spoleto 1964) . It became famous in the version deposited in 1971 by Domenico Modugno with the title "Amara terra mia".
