Описание: A winter storm expected to drop several inches of snow is moving its way into Chicagoland on Wednesday morning. A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for all of Chicagoland at 9 a.m. and lasts until 3 a.m. Thursday. A Winter Storm Warning remains to the south and west of Chicagoland, and also to the far north along Lake Michigan in southeastern Wisconsin. As for the Chicago area, the storm is expected to drop between 3 to 6 inches in most areas, with higher lake-effect totals in far northeast locations. Light snow is beginning to fall around Chicagoland very early Wednesday morning, with a dusting on the ground in some spots, but the bulk of the storm arrives around 8 or 9 a.m. in western areas then moves toward the city. The snow will pick up in intensity between noon and 5 p.m., with pockets of heavy snowfall and reduced visibility in some areas, especially northern and central locations. This means the evening commute will be most significantly impacted. The snow really begins to wind down around 8 p.m. and tapers off into early Thursday morning. Temperatures, meanwhile, ranged in the mid-teens to mid-20s in the early-morning hours, with Wednesday highs expected to reach the mid- to upper 20s. Thursday will be cold on the heels of the snowstorm, with highs only in the upper teens. It'll be dry, however, with decreasing clouds and more sunshine into Thursday afternoon.
