The Shyam Raghunath Temple is situated at Garh Panchakot in Neturia under Raghunathpur sub-division in Purulia district. The fortress at Garh Panchakot was situated at a height of 500 ft. and was surrounded by stone built walls. The members from the royal family and the employees of the royal family used to stay here. The temple of Shyam Raghunath was situated here within the fortress. It is considered that it was the largest of all the stone built temples in the Purulia district of all times in terms of its dimension.
The temple was constructed using carved stones. From the architectural pattern, it is assumed that the temple was constructed after 1651 AD.

In 2018, the West Bengal Heritage Commission declared the temple as heritage.
