Inspired by the 1984 Kerry Babies Case. The film is a fictionalized account of a young mother who is wrongly accused of murder after a baby's body is found on a beach and she gives birth to a stillborn baby around the same time. Directed by Danny Hiller, the movie explores themes of injustice and the social and religious disharmony in Ireland at the time, and stars Fiona Shaw, Fionnuala Flaherty, and Alun Armstrong.
