In 2005, CDA allocated 13.5 acres for a five-star hotel. BNP Private Limited won the lease for Rs 4.8 billion but paid only 15%. Instead of building a hotel, they constructed 263 illegal residential apartments and sold them for profit. In 2019, the Supreme Court ordered BNP to pay Rs 17.5 billion to restore the lease. The company paid only Rs 2.9 billion and defaulted on Rs 14.5 billion. In 2023, the lease was cancelled. On April 30, 2026, the Islamabad High Court upheld this cancellation. This is not politics. This is 20 years of law finally catching up.
