The Crenshaw Mafias (or CMGB for short) started out around 1981 as a spin-off crew from the Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods. There’s some debate about whether they were active before that, though. While they were not officially recognized as a gang in the ‘70s, there was already a tight-knit group hanging out, partying together, and backing each other up when it came to defending their turf.
