Apple recorded 34% year-over-year growth in Q3, marking its best quarter in India with over 2.5 million units shipped.
Apple sells approximately 10 million units in China each quarter.
"Premiumization has started in the world’s second largest smartphone market and Apple has again got the timing right to benefit from this trend through its devices and financing offers," Counterpoint senior research Analyst Shilpi Jain said.
"India’s smartphone market will experience growth in the coming quarter due to pent-up demand, elongated festive season and faster 5G upgrades,” Jain added.
Counterpoint did not specify Apple's market share but stated that Samsung leads with 17.6% market share, attributed to improved incentives.
Apple is targeting India to bolster sales, recognizing the country's status as the world's most populous nation, surpassing China earlier this year.
