Описание: The use of cannabis can be traced back for millennia. Descriptions of its use for recreational, spiritual, and medicinal purposes have been recorded in ancient texts all over world, such as the Ebers Papyrus from 1550 BCE, which describes its topical application for inflammation. Despite the long history of cannabis as a medicinal herb, we have only recently begun to understand its mechanism of action. In 1988, the first cannabinoid receptor was identified as a binding site for tetrahydrocannabinol (the principal psychoactive component of cannabis) in the brain.
