The june plum, scientifically known as Spondias dulcis, is known by numerous other names, including ambarella and golden apple in the Caribbean, cóc in Vietnam, kedondong in Malaysia and Indonesia, and amra in Bangladesh. It is also called pommecythere, jobo indio, and malayan mango, among others, reflecting its widespread cultivation and different regional names.
