House of Chiefs Commends Government’s Focus on Equality and Development

The House of Chiefs has expressed support for Government’s focus on equality, non-discrimination, and sustainable development.
Chairperson Chief Choongo said the increase in the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) from 1.6 million to 40 million Kwacha has enabled rural communities to benefit from development projects. He praised Government for distributing development equitably across the country.
Meanwhile, Nalolo Member of Parliament Imanga Wamunyima noted that youth empowerment programmes and skills training initiatives are creating practical opportunities for young people.
Food for Education Country Representative Brian Kayongo added that the school feeding programme and free education policy support the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal Four, which seeks to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all.
