Trains in this video:
The Class 37 locomotive is a British-built diesel-electric locomotive that became one of the most iconic and widely used types on UK railways. Built between 1960 and 1965 by English Electric, these locomotives were part of the British Railways’ push to modernize its fleet during the dieselisation period.
The Class 385 is a type of electric multiple unit (EMU) train operating in Scotland, primarily used by ScotRail for regional and suburban services. Built by Hitachi Rail, these trains are part of the A-Train family and are based on the design of other Hitachi EMUs like the Class 800, 801, and 802 found in England.
The Class 390 “Pendolino” is a family of high-speed tilting electric multiple unit (EMU) trains that operates on Britain’s West Coast Main Line (WCML). Designed for long-distance intercity services, the Class 390s are known for their distinctive tilting technology, which allows them to maintain high speeds on the line’s many curves.
The Class 397 is a type of electric multiple unit (EMU) train operated by TransPennine Express (TPE), specifically on their Anglo-Scottish routes. Manufactured by CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles), a Spanish train maker, the Class 397 trains are part of TPE’s “Nova 2” fleet, introduced to enhance comfort, speed, and capacity on routes connecting major northern cities in England with Scotland.
The Class 220 Voyager and Class 221 Super Voyager are a high-speed diesel-electric multiple unit (DMU) used in the UK for long-distance passenger services, primarily operated by CrossCountry and formerly by Avanti West Coast.
