The Rivest-Shamir-Adleman (RSA) encryption algorithm is an asymmetric encryption algorithm (public key cryptography) that is widely used in many protocols today, including TLS 1.2 and earlier, S/MIME, and SSH. Asymmetric means that it works on two different keys (Public Key and Private Key).

In this video, we dive into the basic understanding Public-Key Infrastructure, which is necessary for the Segway into understanding the Math behind RSA. This is part 1 of a series that will eventually lead into understanding the idea behind cracking encryption some of the public key encryption algorithms.
