I cut the cactus vertically in half to have a 'control' that doesn't have a different distribution of alkaloid accumulation based on location. I'll allow the cutting to callous partially before subjecting it to a week long ethylene and control treatment in a plastic bag. This trichocereus seedling is 2 years old from seed. There may be a lack of material causing measuring content to be difficult.
This is more a proof of concept and will be reattempted in the future if it shows any promise.
