Body Electric (1997) triceps routine

Описание: This comes from the 13th season of the PBS exercise show. Margaret Richards leads Jane Marks and Kenya Morris in a triceps routine. It's 1997, and we've all changed since the series started; some think this was the show's best season. The larger group ("Body Electric Dancers") are now just two people with Margaret, and the big hair, garish outfits and Jane Fonda-type strenuous routines (including aerobics) are gone, replace by mellower music, a "Mediterrean" set, and exercises that make more sense for older bodies and with greater medical knowledge (just one example: in early shows, floor routines lying on the side had people holding their head with their hand bent at the elbow -- a posture very bad for the delicate neck vertebrae). For this season, Margaret even brought in some viewers to join a show or two. I think this is also the season they did some shows outdoors in Seaside, Florida. I wish that the PBS exercise shows of that era had compiled all the shows on VHS or DVD the way shows like "Classical Stretch" do now, but the tapes/discs were instead 30-minute routines not shown on TV. This was one of the later seasons of the show filmed in Tallahassee at WFSU-TV before the show moved to Buffalo/Western New York. I taped this off WLIW/21, the Long Island PBS affiliate that you could pick up in NYC although I'm not sure if I taped this during a monthlong stay in Williamsburg, Brooklyn or during a visit with friends in Locust Valley, Long Island.
