Thomas attempts to rationalize with Ridge, who angrily cuts him off. Brooke, Donna, and Katie sadly talk about the wedding happening simultaneously. They are happy that Stephen and Lucy came to visit. Sheila gives Deacon a hard time about Ridge marrying Taylor and Brooke still burning a candle for Ridge, not Deacon. Deacon defends Brooke when Sheila makes comments about her. Sheila becomes annoyed instead of consoling Deacon and antagonizes him. Katie reveals she knows Bill already came over to profess his love for Brooke. She recounts how Carter overheard it all and later confronted Bill. Ridge flips out when he learns that Taylor knew about their son’s manipulation before the wedding. He expresses gratitude to Steffy, the one person in his family who has been honest with him. Feeling the tension in the room, Eric, Carter, and Finn leave so that Ridge, Taylor, Thomas, and Steffy may have privacy. Katie shares the news with her sisters about her burgeoning feelings for Carter. Emotionally, Ridge expresses his heartbreak and disappointment with Taylor and Thomas.
