This is part of a tutorial created for students studying in the Ocean & Naval Architectural Engineering discipline at Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. This video demonstrates lines plan creation in Rhino3D.
The example follows a step-by-step instruction to create a complete, professional lines plan, starting from a basic hull form using Rhino3D. This includes producing the lines required in a lines plan, adding measurements and indications of important points, and creating the grid and title block.
As a prerequisite to this video you must have a CAD model, that can be used and manipulated in Rhino3D, of the ship hull for which you'd like to create a lines plan. If you do not have this, please refer to our previous videos before you begin this tutorial:
