Zev Porat, an Israeli citizen working with Messiah of Israel Ministries, has been actively sharing the story of Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri to lead Jews to faith in Jesus.
Kaduri, a revered spiritual leader who died in 2006, left behind a letter instructing it be opened one year after his death, which declared the Messiah's name was Yehoshua, the Hebrew form of Jesus.
Porat has used this story as a foundation for evangelism, preaching to Jews in Tel Aviv, proclaiming the message at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, and even sharing it with Muslims in a mosque in Haifa.
He has reported leading individuals, such as a man named Shimon from Herzilya, to faith in Jesus after they watched a documentary based on Carl Gallups’ book, "The Rabbi Who Found Messiah".
Porat described Shimon’s encounter as deeply spiritual, with the Holy Spirit moving upon him after he studied passages like Psalm 22 in relation to Jesus’ crucifixion.
Gallups, the author, has praised Porat’s work as bold and divinely inspired, calling it a significant movement to bring the Gospel to Israel’s Jewish population.
Despite some skepticism from certain Jewish communities, including claims that the letter’s authenticity was disputed or that the note was published without the family’s consent, Porat and others affirm the letter’s legitimacy and its role in drawing people to Jesus.
