Maybe you can think of a specific moment in time when you realized that you can no longer go on the way you have. You've seen the signs before, but now is different.
You know that the time has come for change, it's too painful not to. Even considering that you could be in this exact same situation 5, 10 years from now makes you ache.

This is your alarm bell. Your wake up call. In a book, it's the Call to Adventure.

You are being called. Will you answer? Or will you just settle for what you have, for less, for never achieving your dreams?

This is an essential building block to crafting your story. And it's especially important to write down exactly this moment because it will become your fuel later. When things become hard, when they become boring, when you wonder if the change is worth it after all. This is the moment you can read back to yourself and say, "yes. Yes, all this is worth it."
