Synthesizing 3D Metamaterials - SYMETA

Описание: This video outlines some of the work done in the SYMETA project. SYMETA aims to improve microwave product design through the synthesis of 3D metamaterials for radio frequency, microwave and THz applications.

Sponsored by the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council, (EPSRC), SYMETA is a large multidisciplinary project encompassing seven research groups across five universities.

Producing novel high frequency electronics demonstrators for wireless communications based on new 3D metamaterial concepts, manufacturing processes and using new materials presented significant technological and scientific research challenges. The project brought together leading UK experts in the areas of Physics, Electronic Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing. In doing so, during the project the consortium published more than 60 high impact journal papers demonstrating significant academic leadership in the area of additive manufacture of metamaterials for microwave applications.
