This 1978 film produced by KPBS San Diego covers several master classes of the San Diego Opera Center, a program instituted by then-General Director Tito Capobianco to train young opera singers. The classes were taught by distinguished instructors such as Beverly Sills (opera superstar), Lee Strasberg (founder of the Actors Studio), and Licia Albanese (noted Italian-born soprano), all of whom are featured in this special, along with Capobianco himself and his wife Gigi Denda.
