How to attach a steel post base to a concrete base?
When a chemical anchor is used, fixing a post base to the ground is secure and will last.
V-NEX is the ideal anchor, follow the steps in the video tutorial and choose HOLZ TECHNIC!


0:00 - Step one: hole distances and depth measurements

We measure the post base hole distances, then we mark them on the concrete base. To make sure that the threaded rod has the right size and does not exceed in length (or the opposite) we take the measurement and mark it also on the drill.

0:19 - We drill the concrete and clean the holes.

To avoid problems with adhesion of the chemical anchor to the hole and threaded rod, it is essential that cleaning is done at all steps:

• 4 blows with the PONY accessory to blow out the dust
• Pass the pipe cleaner 4 times
• Proceed with 4 more blows with PONY to remove any remnants of dust

1:00 - We assemble the V-NEX chemical anchor on the gun and perform the extrusion tests

This step is also crucial: before being used, the anchor colour must be uniform otherwise its effectiveness is compromised.


1:25 - We insert the V-NEX chemical anchor into the holes,

add the threaded rods, wipe off excess anchor and wait for V-NEX to dry.

1:56 - Insert the post base into the threaded rods and screw in the bolts.

Assembly of the post base with the chemical anchor is complete.
