Hennepin County names February as “Shop Local Month” in Hennepin County, in partnership with Governor Walz and the State of Minnesota. Many small businesses are standing up for their community when their own livelihoods are threatened. Let's come together to love our local businesses, say thanks, and help them recover. We are encouraging our residents to support small, locally owned businesses, particularly those which have seen reduced foot traffic and heightened fear and uncertainty due to the ongoing federal immigration enforcement presence in our county.
