‘Dark cloud’ over Donegal as mother and young daughter killed in crash

The mother of a six-year-old girl who was killed in a road collision in Co Donegal yesterday evening, has also died in hospital this evening.
The collision, involving a car and a van, occurred on the R240 at Glentogher, Carndonagh, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.
The woman, who was in her 20s and was the driver of the car, was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry before being transferred to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where she passed away.
A two-year-old child who was seriously injured in the crash is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Royal Victoria Hospital, while a man in his 30s, who was the front seat passenger, is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Altnagelvin Hospital.
