If you were targeted by a narcissist, it's probably because they found you to be either a great source of supply, a high quality human being, and perhaps even a caregiving empath. You were not weak. They manipulated you, took advantage of your kindness, and did what all narcissists tend to do. These are toxic disordered individuals who follow pretty much the same pattern of selfishness, manipulation, destruction, and the list goes on and on. Remember narcissists are only in it for themselves and if they targeted you, it's because they found something of value that they wanted for obtain or use you to help them obtain it.
