With so much to cover, I've given you an outline of what you could expect in your career in the short, medium, and long term. This is a highly dynamic topic, and I've used a 60m Megayacht as the template for what is achievable for a person pursuing advancement in a specific department, be it as a Deckhand, a Steward or Stewardess, an Engineer, a Chef, or even an Officer or a Captain. Keep in mind, this could be completely different, with so many ways and paths to advancement, this could be faster or slower, or another experience entirely. I would need 10 times the amount of time to cover this. Whether you want to be a part of the navigation team, the interior team, or the engineering team, you will find valuable information here if you want to get a job on a yacht and work on a Superyacht.

This is the second episode of my Becoming a Yachtie series, a short 10 part series to give a person a nice overview of what they should know and consider before pursuing the exciting and rewarding career as crew on Superyachts, Megayachts or Gigayachts.
