Описание: Eschatos came out on Steam recently and it's a really good game. I've always regretted not playing it much when it came out on the Xbox 360 way back in 2011 so you could say that this was an old score that I had to settle.

On the surface Eschatos might look a bit bland and standard but the true beauty and what makes the game so good lies in the scoring system. Since it requires you to balance and make full use of all your available weapons and resources in both a defensive and offensive way.

The scoring principle is quite simple: if you kill all the enemies in a wave you get an extra multiplier and the amount of enemies that get away makes the multiplier drop accordingly.
Speedkilling gives more score as well so it's a very aggressive game.

Besides chaining and speedkilling there are also DDP-like bees hidden in stages in the form of Wonder-Witches. Their Y-coordinate is always the same but their X-coordinate is either at the opposite side of yours or is completely random. They actually try to get away from you when you try to collect them so be careful of that.
Wonder-Witch value doubles for each one you collect and they are also multiplied by your current multiplier so the score you can get from them becomes pretty huge.

You have a shield that can cancel bullets but how hard it is to cancel these bullets or how much energy it will cost to cancel depends entirely on the bullet type. Some bullets can be cancelled almost immediately while others take considerable effort while they also push you around.
You can also use the shield offensively since it does contact damage. The damage output is actually the highest in the game but it's obviously very short-ranged.

Besides that you can also change the speed of your ship. 3-speed is very fast, 2-speed is pretty medium and 1-speed is very slow.

The F-bomb carriers always spawn after a set amount of time so you want to manipulate those so that they spawn at opportune times. They give you a screen clear and also do some damage so for waves with really weak enemies you can get the full time bonus if you time the bombs well.

This is currently the world record.
