I dug up the old Casio SA-38 again for this one.
Patch notes:
Channel A of the DLD is used as a buffer to store a smattering of (more or less) random notes from the Casio. One layer of "warm strings" and then another of "twinkle echo". This long buffer is constantly playing into the MMF, and the output of that is patched to the DLD ch. B to create a shorter, evolving loop. However, audio is only fed to the ch. B delay line when the Delay Feed is turned up by an AR envelope from Stages' segs. 2-5.
You might wonder why I'm using four segments to make a simple AR envelope, which could be done with only two. The reason is this: The hold segment at the end and the pulse generator segment at the start serve to prevent the envelope from retriggering before it has completed its cycle! The pulse generator works as a logical AND port, outputting a high voltage only if both its Level and Gate inputs are high. When the envelope cycle is complete, the hold segment at the end activates and sets the level of the pulse generator high, so that the next trigger input to the Gate input actually triggers the envelope.
To trigger the envelope, I'm using an LFO from Stages' seg. 1, and the speed of that LFO is modulated by a semi-random S&H (sampling the same LFO), which is triggered by the DLD master clock. That S&H output also modulates MMF's filter cutoff.
