Strike Industries makes a wide variety of AR-15 parts and accessories. I've found their muzzle devices to be a very effective option at a pretty reasonable price point. I've used the J Comp V 2 on my 16" rifle and on my AR pistol, I am using the Strike Industries King Comp. Both muzzle brakes are extremely effective at negating felt recoil and muzzle rise, but the downside is the added noise and the side blast and concussion that comes from their use. Enter the Strike Industries Oppressor: this device directs the blast forward, while still leaving the effectiveness of the compensator intact.
