Since it was our first trip to Spain and the Costa Brava region we thought we'd team up with Blue Compass Tours - Barcelona. We were taken on a surprise tour of the region where we got to experience the amazing coastline, a high-end restaurant, and a medieval village. If you're looking for things to do in Costa Brava be sure to watch the whole vlog.

The surprise tour started with a boat tour in the Mediterranean. The coastline is amazing and there are plenty of fauna to enjoy. Next, the guys at Blue Compass Tours - Barcelona took us to the Es Portal Restaurant (http://url.ie/zrfd) Es Portal is a gourmet restaurant with eight rooms and one suite with views over the magnificent landscape of the Empordà region. The building is housed in a completely refurbished 16th-century farmhouse which has preserved the constructive features of the Gothic Renaissance period.

To finish the tour in Costa Brava, we went to the medieval village of Peratallada (http://url.ie/zrfe), The fortified town is concentrated on top of a huge natural sandstone rock, artificially carved to give height (hence the name “pedra tallada” or "carved stone"). At the top, we find the Castle (11th century, but with signs that there might have been an earlier structure), with its Keep Tower and Palace.
