I couldn’t pass this one up — a weird bunker rake I bought at auction for just $85. Nobody seemed to know what to do with it, but I figured it deserved another chance. In this video, we dive into reviving this strange old machine and seeing if it can actually work again.
The project starts with tracking down starting issues, fixing the starter, and getting the engine spinning again. From there, I tear into the fuel system, clean out the carburetor, replace old lines, and get fresh fuel flowing. The tires were shot, so those had to be repaired before it could even move under its own power.
Once it’s running and driving, the real test begins — putting this revived bunker rake to work and fixing my sand patch to see if this oddball machine still has a purpose. This is one of those forgotten pieces of equipment that looks useless at first glance, but with some time and effort, it turns out to be surprisingly handy.
