HOW WE DID IT:

As usual with the few songs I "compose", I bring to Gina the lyrics and perhaps a part of a tune and she turns it into music. This is our second song this year. We created one called THE EL CAMINO WALKING SONG also available on this channel. We don't do it enough to call it a hobby. It's more because I have a creative idea that is otherwise useless. And Gina humors me. Gina did all the chorus voices in different takes in different pitches, which I combined and mixed to create great depth and variety.

This was a chance to try out the limits of AI currently. I find as ineffective as any employee that does not pay attention to instructions. For the animations, I used an AI image animator. It took some getting used to as AI like to show off what it could do, often adding people and action - some of it was very strange and unusable. Clever editing made a lot of it suable. Some strange AI things remain in the video. To generate the base images, I drew original characters and put them over photorealistic backgrounds enhance and made comical with Photoshop tricks. I did a number of layering and green screen tricks to make the video interesting and movement complex.
