This set was released in 1994 under the “MODEL TEAM” series and is known as the “Mach II Red Bird Rig”, set no 5591. It has 1172 pieces and was for LEGO builders 10-16 yrs. It’s a straight forward and rewarding assembly for an experienced builder to undertake, taking three hours to build. Regarding features, the rig (truck) has front steering operated by a knob on the roof and it has numerous opening doors The Jet has an opening hatch, and the trailer has a winch and other features. The three models looks great in the white and red livery.
