Описание: PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to paint this dreamy and inspiring surreal fantasy portrait painting "BOOK OF FANTASIES” with acrylic paint. I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I sat down and read a book. I do glance at a few art books every now and then that are filled with lots of pictures and images of great artwork, but I’m talking about good ole classic novels. The ones you can read for hours and immerse yourself in another world. I remember when I was a child and I would flip through the pages of fantasy books like "Lord of the Rings", "Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland", and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", and let my thoughts wander and recreate the words I was reading into images in my mind. It’s been many years, and, although I prefer to spend my spare time painting now, I can still see the many benefits to reading—it exercises the brain, improves literacy and concentration, it’s motivational, it reduces stress and increasing general knowledge, its free entertainment, and, above all, it unlocks the imagination! So, join me and celebrate the wonderous world of literature and paint this enchanting mystical image that will not only inspire avid book lovers to continue reading, but also, to encourage others to open up a book and let the mind be filled with fantastical fun! The first lesson you’ll learn in this beginner level painting tutorial is how to paint a background with a single color, which will add to the magical mood and allow for all the vibrant colors to pop off this canvas. You’ll then use a scrubbing scumbling technique to create an alluring glow, perfect for our folklore beings to float around in. After learning how to use a dot-to-dot drawing method, you’ll draw an outline of your beguiling storybook and fantasy creatures, followed by applying a simple base coat to the pages and binder to work off of. Then you’ll use simple color theory for mixing and painting techniques, such as a directional brushstroke, for blending the pages for added depth and dimension creating contours to accentuate the paper. You’ll then finish your storybook with added highlights and shadows to develop texture that will embody the realistic paper, creating a 3-D photo realistic appearance. Then you’ll use a freestyle art technique to create magical mist and then to give form to your enlightening characters. Just like the pages of your magical book, you’ll use vibrant colors to add highlights and shadows, giving movement and action to your morphing fantasy friends. The process is so simple, you’ll have confidence enough to paint any imaginary characters you want. I chose to paint a fairy, unicorn, and phoenix, but you can paint a gnome, a sphinx, Pegasus, banshee, vampire, hydra, chimera, dragon, Griffon, mermaid, or werewolf. You could even change your page-turner into some other vessel for your mythical beings to emerge from, such as, a genie lamp, a door, closet, or jar. The point is, to make it your own and have fun!
