Replacing the 16 inch bar on my Stihl Farm Boss MS290 with a new 20 inch bar. This process is the same for most Stihl chainsaws. This is a step-by-step tutorial how to change the bar and chain on your chainsaw. Step 1: Locate "scrench" new bar and chain
Step 2: Use scrench to loosen two bolts holding bar holder
Step 3: Loosen chain tension
Step 4: Remove case side after removing the two nuts
Step 5: Remove chain from sprocket and bar
Step 6: Remove old bar and place new bar (use locating pin)
Step 7: Install new chain by placing around the bar tip and down top edge of bar
Step 8: Loosen bar chain if necessary to place over engine sprocket
Step 9: Align chain and tighten slightly
Step 10: Replace side case and finger tighten nuts
Step 11: Tighten chain using tensioner screw
Step 12: Tighten retaining nuts
Step 13: Start saw to make sure chain moves freely

We live in Northwestern PA and have around 70 Acres of Land, in the middle of family homestead land from more than 4 generations back. We have one daughter, one rescued Great Dane, and one cat.
