The French ecosystem, at its inception, has been under considerable pressure in terms of financing, notably due to a lack of supply in private equity—particularly venture capital. This gap with our main international competitors has largely been reduced. Alongside equity financing, the use of debt is growing, enabling strong performance among market players and the generation of high returns. This debt is provided in part by banks and Bpifrance, but increasingly by private debt funds.
