Explore the mysterious Rivington Terraced Gardens in Lancashire, near Bolton — from the abandoned Bungalow ruins to the historic Pigeon Tower and the summit of Rivington Pike. This walk uncovers hidden history, breathtaking views, and forgotten stories of one of England’s most fascinating landscapes.

Join me as we set off from Pigeon Tower car park and make a full loop around the site. Along the way we visit Lever’s Bridge, descend into the Ravine, climb up to the Japanese Gardens, and pass the ruins of the old greenhouses. We continue past Stone House Lodge, across the Great Lawns, and explore the Bungalow ruins with the help of historic photos. From there, we head to the summit of Rivington Pike Tower for stunning views before returning to Pigeon Tower and the Italian Lake. The adventure ends with a flyover of the entire site and a walk along Rocky Road (Boulder Lane).
