Описание: When you're the replacement for not one but two cars, you'd better be pretty good. Well, the Acura TLX is more than pretty good. Combining the best of the TL and TSX sedans, here are five reasons Acura made the right choice with the 2018 Acura TLX.
Excellent Engines
Acura offers a choice of two engines when you buy a TLX. The base is a 206-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder. It certainly has enough for most needs, but the 3.5-liter V6 we drove really won us over. It pumps out a solid 290 hp and has a smooth 9-speed transmission. The TLX is exciting enough in any mode, but most drivers will appreciate the drive when in Sport Plus mode.
Top-Notch Features
Every Acura has top-notch high-end features, and the TLX is no exception. Coming standard are heated power front seats, dual-zone climate control and even a sunroof. Of course, the two packages offer more exclusive premium touches. There's the Advance package, which heats the steering wheel and the rear seats, among other features. The Technology package offers a lot as well, but we were particularly fond of the powerful 10-speaker ELS sound system.
Beautiful Style
Acura decided to enhance the TLX's design. Up front, there are standard Jewel Eye LED headlights and heated side mirrors. While there are standard 17-inch alloys, 19-in wheels come on the performance-inspired A-Spec Trim level. Passengers will appreciate the special acoustic glass windshield that reduces cabin noise. The TLX finishes with LED taillights, and the sporty A-Spec trim level has round dual exhaust outlets.
Innovative Safety
The TLX comes loaded with innovative safety. In addition to a 5-star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the TLX has standard AcuraWatch, a bundle of innovative safety features that help improve awareness around you. Another great option is the Technology package, which offers a really smart blind spot monitoring system and rear cross-traffic alert, among other technologies. Even the body is specially designed to absorb front impacts, making it safer for all passengers.
Efficient All-Wheel Drive
There is available all-wheel drive, which Acura calls Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive. One downside is that it's only available with the V6 engine choice -- but it really is worth it, especially if you face inclement weather during your daily commute. It also returns 30 miles per gallon on the highway, which is pretty efficient considering the front-wheel-drive V6 returns only 2 mpg more, rated at 32 mpg hwy.
