Описание: This video is the first video Paul Midgley took using the follow-function on the DJI Neo drone he received as a gift for Christmas 2025.

Paul hadn't really been interested in buying a drone until his parents bought him one for Christmas 2025.

In Paul's parents' opinions drones are a technology that will play a big part in the future so Paul being comfortable using drones was important in their view.

The Midgley family are made up of Computer Scientists and a Chemical Engineer, so keeping abreast of new technology is, in their opinion, paramount.
In reality, Paul having a drone and the capability to use it would, of course, make Mr & Mrs Midgley's lives easier so it is hard to say who the Christmas present was really for :).
Please don't feel sorry for Paul he did get other presents.

Paul's first video involved flying the DJI Neo drone in the house which, on reflection, was far more prone to crashes than flying it outside.
Nevertheless, there were no crashes; Paul's flying skills were excellent; probably due to all the gaming he does.

One problem, not considered on purchase, was the Midgley family cat, Smokey.
Smokey viewed the DJI Neo drone as prey but, luckily, he was afraid of the noise it made ... so no damage was caused on the maiden flight but the Midgley family, knowing Smokey so well, suspect Smokey will get used to the noise in time; then the drone and it's operator really does need to "watch out!",

Smokey is a BIG cat who is very protective of his domain.
