After plugging the T-harness into the vehicle and then into the remote starter module, the RED LED on the module will turn ON RED, indicating that the system is powered up. Activation is simply done by turning the vehicle's ignition ON and watching for the GREEN LED on the module to turn ON solid for a few seconds and then turn OFF; next, turn the ignition OFF, and you're all done!

How to Install a Remote Starter into a 2015 to 2020 Ford F-150 with Key Ignitions:
Step 1: Unplug the gateway connector from the rear of the vehicle's OBD2 module located on the lower left side of the driver's side dash and plug it into the corresponding female plug on the T-harness.
Step 2: Replace the vehicle's gateway plug with the plug from the T-harness.
Step 3: Plug the blue plug from the T-harness into the blue plug on the remote starter module.
Step 4: Turn the ignition ON (do not start the vehicle): When the Solid Green LED turns ON & OFF, turn the ignition OFF: DONE!

Open Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote starter will not activate if the vehicle's hood is open, and the remote starter will immediately shut down if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter. The vehicle must be equipped with an OEM hood-pin switch or an aftermarket version for this feature to apply. Active Key Takeover: The remote starter will not immediately shut down when the driver's door is opened. Automatic Heat & AC Activation: Automatically engages the vehicle's climate controls based on prior settings. Activates OEM autolights while running.

Brake Pedal Monitoring for Security: The remote starter will immediately shut down if the brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on. Open Hood Monitoring for Safety: The remote start will not activate with the hood open and will immediately shut down if the hood is opened while the vehicle is running by the remote starter. Equipped with the same OEM safety and operating restrictions as Ford's factory-installed remote starters: The system will detect any current or stored fault codes, which will prevent the remote starter from activating. If the hood is open, the transmission is not in park, the vehicle's battery voltage is too low, the low fuel light is on, the check engine light is on, or any stored DTC codes (no visual lights on the dash) will prevent the system from activating (you can also consult your vehicle's owners/operators manual).
