Paul’s first (and his final until 2017) solo concert in New Zealand would take place almost 29 years after the Beatles’ first and only tour down under in 1964. Tonight’s gig has been captured in a superb audience recording that absolutely captures the energetic Kiwi atmosphere; though ‘Every Night’ is entirely missing, being patched up here with an average quality audience video of the (almost) full show which has some pretty bad tape damage around the end of the acoustic set and the following few tracks after it. ‘Live and Let Die’ is also entirely missing from the video, and ‘Let It Be’ is pretty incomplete.

This performance is absolutely hot from start to finish. Not only is Paul in great shape (being quite creative and you can absolutely tell he's giving it his all tonight). The band is in absolutely peak form, giving the people of New Zealand a fantastic show. Highlights are almost too many to mention, with what would unfortunately be the final performance of ‘Get Out Of My Way’ being an absolute banger, yet another ridiculously insane ‘Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band’ that lifts the energy from 100 to 1000 for the encores, which are some of my favorite ever performances done by this line-up, as ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ is absolutely blistering, this tour's second performance of ‘Mull Of Kintyre’ is guaranteed to make one tear up, and ‘Hey Jude’ is an absolutely emotional time with Paul absolutely giving it his heart and soul. Tonight is also Wix's birthday, so the customary ‘Happy Birthday To You’ is heard during the band intros.
