Hello everyone! How do you do. This clip shows you some items that we as pilots have to do for certain malfunctions that once activated, are irreversible in flight. They systems can only be reinstated to normal operation on the ground after landing. They are items like the IRS (Inertial Reference System), the Generator Drive Disconnect which disconnects an engine generator drive from the accessory gear box to prevent further damage or reduce fire risk. The RAT (Ram Air Turbine) deployment once activated is also irreversible in flight and can only be reset on the ground. I have included the supernumerary oxygen or on passenger aircraft, the same switch controls the Passenger oxygen masks. Activating this switch in flight (or indeed on the ground), will drop the oxygen masks in the cabin. So it’s irreversible in the sense that once activated, you would likely only have time to stow the masks back on the ground. One other item I will show separately is the alternate gear extension if the normal system does not work. Coming soon in another video😊
