Star Coral Spawning [4K]

Описание: Night dives are often an opportunity to witness events you don't see during a normal day dive. That is especially true in late summer, halfway between the full moon and the new moon. If you time it just right, you can witness the birth of the next generation of the coral reef in front of your very eyes. Caribbean Research and Management of Biodiversity (CARMABI) releases predictions each year of days and times of likely coral spawning by species, based upon prior year observations. Armed with those predictions, we timed our dive to try to catch the spawning of star coral colonies.
