Once a command post, prison, and rumored vault for Yamashita’s Gold, only 300 meters remain today. For just ₱70, a guided tour takes you through its dim, narrow passages, past bunkers and statues that bring this dark chapter of history to life. From there, we head to Jack’s Ridge—once a Japanese military lookout, now a scenic dining spot overlooking the city. What was once a place of war is now filled with music, food, and laughter. We capped the day with grilled blue marlin, beef soup, and a sunset view that turned the entire ridge into something magical. Davao isn’t just a place you pass through—it’s one you feel, taste, and explore.
