外埔區位於台中市的西北邊，遍布黃金稻田的忘憂谷有大地畫布之稱。田間小徑宛如一條閃電形狀，亦有閃電稻田之稱。每年7月和11月是稻田收割的季節，田園會變成金黃畫布，加上一輛已廢棄的黃色學校巴士為忘憂谷增添了一份獨特意境，現已變成了人氣觀光打卡景點。

Waipu is located in the northwest of Taichung City. The Waipu Lotus Valley is known as the canvas of the earth. The path in the field is shaped like a lightning bolt, so it is also called the Lightning Rice Field. July and November are the rice harvest seasons, and the countryside turns golden. An abandoned yellow school bus adds a unique artistic conception to Lotus Valley, and it has now become a popular tourist attraction.
