Lars Danielsson is an exceptional jazz bassist, composer, and producer from Sweden. Born in 1958 in Smålandsstenar, he initially studied classical cello at the Gothenburg Conservatory before transitioning to jazz, where he gained international acclaim.

Known for his mastery of double bass, electric bass, and cello, Danielsson's style is both melodic and deeply emotional. He formed his own quartet and released numerous albums, often collaborating with artists under the ECM label to showcase the distinctive sound of Nordic jazz.

As a composer and producer, he has worked with various orchestras, blending jazz and classical elements seamlessly. Notable works include the Liberetto series and the album Cloudland, which highlight his creativity and musical depth.
