Описание: In January 2026, INUA KIKE successfully conducted a two-day Parenting for Respectability (PfR) training for Cohort Three of 25 parents and caregivers in Korogocho under the She Rises Beyond Violence Project.

This video captures highlights from the training held on 28th and 29th January 2026, focused on strengthening positive parenting and family dynamics within urban informal settlements.

Module One: Bonding and Attachment

Parents reflected on their parenting roles, strengthened communication with their children, and built emotional connections within the home — laying the foundation for safe, nurturing, and respectful family relationships.

Module Two: Positive Discipline

Through interactive activities and role plays, parents explored parenting styles, learned to manage difficult behaviour, set clear and respectful limits, and practiced positive, non-violent alternatives to punishment. The session reinforced that discipline is about guidance, not harm, using communication, praise, consistency, and positive problem-solving.

This training equips families with practical skills to create safe, nurturing, and protective home environments, strengthening families as a critical foundation for preventing violence, including sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

This programme is part of a broader partnership supported by International Justice Mission Deutschland e.V. under the She Rises Beyond Violence Project.
