Cabinetmaking was invented in France during the reign of Louis XIV. It’s the art of inlaying: slicing precious wood into sheets, which are then carefully assembled and glued. FRANCE 24 takes you to Ouville-la-Rivière, near the northern French town of Dieppe, where Jean-Christophe Plantrou's cabinetmaking workshop is a treasure chest of craftsmanship.
