This video reviews the lessons discussed in previous videos that focused on simple Tagalog sentence patterns and sentence structure. We are putting all those lessons on Tagalog sentence patterns to create more complex sentence structures that uses “rin” and “din”—the Tagalog word for “too” or also” and ligatures that connect and modify nouns with adjectives and vice versa. These ligature are:
• na
• ~ng
• ~g
The Tagalog Sentence Patterns discussed in this video are the following:
• Noun + Ligature + Adjective
• Adjective + Ligature + Noun
• Case marker + word being modified + Copula “ay” + Predicate
• Case marker + word being modified + Copula “ay” + Predicate + rin/din
We again see in this video the flexibility of the Tagalog sentence structure and word order when we try two versions of a sentence (Subject + Predicate and Predicate + Subject) that mean exactly the same way. Truly, Tagalog or Filipino is a wonderful and fascinating language.
